so we have a tradition here. When it's someone's birthday, we shower them. So...

Chris: Hey Joe, can you take my controller?
Me: But I don't know how to use your character...
Chris: Yeah, but I needa go help shower someone. And as we all know, showering's more important than the game.
Me: ...*looks at the clock* Okay, sure. Have fun.
All: ...

...maybe today will be better than the weekend. It ought to be, anyways.

EDIT: for the slow, it's my birthday today.
